We calculate sales from
the 1st of one month to midnight of the last day of the same month (ex: March 1
- 31). All referral checks are mailed within 10 business days after the last day
of every month. For international affiliates, we can make arrangements to send
payment via paypal. Click

Are all sales
registered on my "sales counter?" |
The visitor counter
records every single person who visits HearandPlay.com site by clicking through
your affiliate URL. The sales counter records all sales that are made
through your affiliate referral number for that month. Even if visitors came
through your affiliate URL 2 years ago, you'll still get credit for the sale as
we use advanced tracking technology that records sales for up to two years
after the initial visit.
| 3) |
How many people
will buy out of the visitors I send you? |
Many people wonder how
many sales are normally generated in relation to the number of visitors to
HearandPlay.com. It really depends on the visitors you're sending. If your
website is directly related to music or piano playing, then you'll probably see
higher conversion ratios than if your website was related to auto repair and you
were trying to monetize traffic through our program.
On average, sites that are
music-related earn one sale for every 95 to 115 visitors they send us. Some
sites that really "perform" see one sale for every 33 to 50 visitors they refer
to us; however, to get this kind of conversion ratio, a personal
"recommendation" is required to give the course credibility. A personal
recommendation can increase your referral fees by as much as 416% (we've done
the math). For more linking strategies,
For those of you who may
not be aware, these conversion ratios are fantastic when you consider that the
average conversion ratio for a web site on the Internet is one sale per 720
visitors!
With that said, I want to
make it clear that the type of traffic you generate has a direct affect on the
percentage of people that buy. For example, if you are promoting "The Secrets to
Playing Piano By Ear" 300-pg course on a site that sells horse saddles, it would
be more reasonable to expect 1 sale out of every 1,000 visitors to the
HearandPlay.com site as these visitors are not targeted (i.e. they're
unqualified visitors).
However, if you have a
site that is music related or at least attracts visitors who might be interested
in what we have to offer, you can expect to see results such as one out of every
70 visitors buying because they are the perfect qualified visitor. Better yet,
if you have a site that is piano-related and actually sells other piano
material, you can expect results such as one out of every 50 or better!
If your site is not
directly related to music, don't worry. We've seen non-related sites pull a sale
from every 100-200 visitors. It depends on the way you position our promotional
tools to your audience. For example, if you operator a site for parents, you'd
post a personal message on top of our banner saying: "Get your child involved in
music." These "connecting phrases," alone, may increase your conversion
more than just posting our banners in an unrelated part of your site. Of course,
as stated above, the personal recommendation from you is powerful in
swaying your audience towards our products.

How can I earn the
most money with the HearandPlay.com Affiliate Program? What should I aim at
doing? |
Overall, the biggest
revenue generator for HearandPlay.com affiliates is "The Secrets to Playing
Piano By Ear" 300-pg course. This is the product that we recommend that are
affiliates push the hardest. Why? Because if your customers love our first book,
they'll purchase our ear-training software, and then our dvd series --- and
you'll get paid for every single referral (because we cookie visitors so that
even if they buy months later, you'll still be connected to them, which means
you'll make money on repeat business)!
So here's what we
recommend:
- Start your affiliate
promotions by recommending the
"The
Secrets to Playing Piano By Ear" 300-pg course to your customers and
subscribers. The course is the product that consistently earns
HearandPlay.com affiliates the highest commissions because it appeals to
the largest, most general market. Should you decide to recommend the other
HearandPlay.com affiliate products, do so in addition to the 300-pg
course. Do not replace your course promotions with recommendations for the
other HearandPlay.com affiliate products or you may see a drop in your monthly
commissions.
- A really easy way to
increase your commissions even more is by promoting the HearandPlay.com
Affiliate Program and recruiting an army of sub-affiliates to earn a hefty
commission on every sale they generate. Simply let your customers and
subscribers know about the successes you've personally experienced with the
HearandPlay.com Affiliate Program, and your personal recommendation will
attract sub-affiliate sign ups. To learn about the commissions you'll earn
through the
Sub-Affiliate Program, click here now.

My sales off the
course are not that high, but I get lots of traffic to my site. The same
goes for the other product reseller programs. What is wrong? |
I want to let you know
that most of our top producing sites started off small, so don't be worried if
your first month does not produce overwhelming results. Getting a site to
produce thousands of dollars in referral fees takes a few months of "tweaking"
to see what is most effective for your particular site.
For example, our current
top affiliate member only received about $200 for his first check, but now after
working together to find the most profitable ways to link to our sites, he is
producing referral fees in excess of $4,000 a month. Now, don't get me wrong,
you need a lot of traffic to your site to be receiving over $4,000 every
month... but no matter how small your site is, try some of the suggestions
located within this site as these are the techniques and tricks the top
HearandPlay.com affiliates are using with phenomenal success.

I have clicked
through my special link MANY times, but it only shows 1 visitor. What is
wrong? |
Our tracking software is
very sophisticated and compensates for people returning to the site many times a
month. It would take me a while to explain all the technical stuff, so I will
avoid that and try to explain it as simply as possible.
If you try to click
through the banner/link you placed on your site over and over, the "visitor"
counter on your special reporting page will show it as only one visitor.
This is because it is "you" coming back again and again (you are just "1
visitor" coming back again and again). We set up the software to do this so the
visitor numbers are always accurate and you can always figure out the "real"
sales conversion ratio (the ratio of how many visitors it took to get one sale).
Let me explain what I mean
by that. Say you had 2,000 new visitors a month clicking on your affiliate link
and visiting the HearandPlay.com site. Let's say that 400 of those 2,000
visitors every month come back to the HearandPlay.com site twice (2 times).
Now after 12 months of
being part of our referral program, you would have brought in 24,000 "new"
visitors and sold approximately 225 courses (as we, on average, have one sale
for every 105 people that visit HearandPlay.com).
The way our visitor
counter is set up now, after the 12 months, it would say that there were 24,000
visitors (as the counter only shows "new" visitors). However, if we set up the
counter to count all "new" visitors AND repeat visitors, it would really mess up
the sales conversion statistics.
As discussed before, if
400 of your 2,000 visitors a month visited the HearandPlay.com site twice, there
would be 400 "extra" visitors recorded. So instead of registering 2,000 unique
visitors in a month, the counter would register 2,400 visitors a month (28,800
visitors a year).
Over the period of a year,
this would work out to 4,800 repeat visitors calculated as "unique visitors"
(400 repeat visitors X 12 months = 4,800 "extra") and this would really throw
off your sales statistics.
Instead of accurately
showing that you converted 1 out of every 105 visitors into a sale (24,000
visitors divided by 225 sales), it would show that you converted 1 out of every
128 visitors into a sale (28,800 visitors divided by 225 sales) which is WRONG!
I hope the math does not
confuse you here -- it is a little complicated. But I wanted to illustrate the
point. The way the counters work is they only count NEW visitors to the site so
you can see your proper conversion ratio to make sure everything is going OK
with the way you are promoting HearandPlay.com.
This may raise one
question in your head. How do I test to see if my counter is working if
after the first time I go through the link, it will not count me anymore? That
is easy. Simply delete/erase all the "cookies" from your browser and you will
trick our counters into thinking you have not been to the site before so it will
count you as a "new" visitor (and you can verify that the counter is working by
seeing it increment by one).
On a little different
note, no matter if the visitor is counted as a "new" visitor or if they are a
"repeat" visitor and not counted on the visitor counter, your affiliate
referral number is ALWAYS coded in all the HearandPlay.com web pages so if that
visitor ever orders within the next 2 years, you will get the referral fee.
| 7) |
I have been an
affiliate for a month and have not received any referral fees yet. What is
going on? |
Before you'll start to
earn significant commissions each month, you'll need to increase the traffic to
your web site. I say this because there have been a few people in the past who
have expected to earn huge commission checks each month, despite the fact that
their web sites were only seeing a few hundred visitors each month.
The fact of the matter is
that if you are not getting many visitors to your site, then you will not get
many people linking through to HearandPlay.com, and you will not be making a lot
in referral fees.
We have set up some
tutorials to help you drive more traffic to your site, and thus to your
affiliate link. Click here to

How will my
visitors order? |
We take care of
everything. You just need to direct the visitors to the HearandPlay.com web site
through your affiliate links, and we'll look after taking the order, delivering
the product, etc...
When one of your visitors
clicks through your affiliate link, we will display the appropriate sales
letter, where the customer can order directly online, through our 800#, fax, or
by mailing in a check.
When the customer is ready
to order, the HearandPlay.com ordering system takes over, and automatically
processes the order -- while recording your affiliate identification number to
guarantee that you're credited for the sale.
But how does it track
orders via 800#, fax or mail? Good question. Our sales letter will always
prompt the visitor to mention an offer number to receive the mentioned
special offer and additional bonus items. Of course the customer will write this
number down because they want to claim their free products and discounted price
(who wouldn't?).
Now... when they call the
toll-free number, the representative will always ask them for the offer number.
If you guessed that our system automatically places your affiliate ID number as
the offer number, you are correct! For example, if someone goes to
hearandplay.com through your affiliate link (lets say "345890"), they will be
prompted to mention offer # 345890 when ordering. We thought this would
be a brilliant way to track offline sales without having to ask visitors what
site they came from.
Note: The same applies for
the "order form" that customers must print out in order to mail in their
payment. Right under our address, there appears and offer number which is also
your affiliate ID number. You can be assured that all sales are tracked
regardless of whether they are ordered online, by phone, fax, or by mail!
[Use our
quick
links section to visit our home study course through your affiliate id.
Then scroll to the bottom and see your ID mentioned as the offer number. This is
how the program tracks phone sales.]
| 9) |
How will you keep
track of the orders coming from my site? |
It's easy! When you signed
up as an HearandPlay.com affiliate, you were assigned a unique identification
number. Refer to your email if you have forgotten this number. It is usually a 5
or 6-digit number and is used in every URL that you use to link to the
HearandPlay.com affiliate products.
For example, to promote:
- "The Secrets to
Playing Piano By Ear" 300-pg Course
https://www.hearandplay.com/YOURID/course.html
- "Piano Player Plus
v1.0" Ear-training Software
https://www.hearandplay.com/at.cgi/ppp.html
- Sub-Affiliate
Program
https://www.hearandplay.com/YOURID/affiliate.html
- GospelKeys Dvd
Courses
https://www.hearandplay.com/YOURID/gk
Note: You can get "quick links" to all major
pages of our site generated for you automatically by simply entering your
affiliate id in our
quick link
generator.
Do you see how, in each
case, your unique identification number appears in the URL? Well, it's this
number that we use to track how many visitors you send to the HearandPlay.com
site... and how many sales you refer! We have special software that runs
seamlessly in the background, automatically tracking everything without your
visitors even being aware of it!
Now, in the case of all
the "Copy & Paste" e-mail promotions, classified ads, banner ads, text links,
pop ups, etc... that we provide you with to promote the various HearandPlay.com
affiliate products, we have inputted a "YOURID" tag which should be
replaced with your affiliate identification number. It's thta simple.
However, if you decide to
write a personal letter of referral and e-mail it your customers and
subscribers... or if you write your own text link or article about a
HearandPlay.com affiliate product to add to your web site... you'll need to use
the correct affiliate URL with your unique affiliate identification number in
it, just like we've shown you above. If you plan on using your own
personally-written promotions and just need a list of common pages with your
affiliate number already included,

What kind of
income can I expect to earn as a HearandPlay.com affiliate? |
Currently, our average
"medium traffic site" receives a monthly referral check between $300 to $500. We
have web sites that earn under $100 a month (very low traffic sites) and others
as high as $6,500 a month and more (popular, high traffic sites)!
The amount you earn
depends on the type of people that visit your site, how many visitors you
receive monthly, and how much exposure you give the link to your HearandPlay.com
affiliate link.
(This is the key... *how much exposure you give your Hearandplay.com affiliate link*)!
Sites that have links to
Hearandplay.com in many places throughout their web sites do MUCH better than
sites that only have a small link or just one link throughout their site. I
cannot emphasize enough how important exposure is to the success of your
campaign.
Make sure you spend some
time reading the various tips and promotion ideas that we share with you
throughout this site. You'll discover the same secrets that our top affiliates
(affiliates earning $6,500+ per month) are using so that you can experience the
same success. Even just implementing one of the techniques we share can
literally double your monthly commission checks. So don't take the
strategies we share with you lightly!
